Auguste
Five historic designs uncovered at Château de Purnon have been reinterpreted by Farrow & Ball to form The Purnon Papers - a collection that captures the grace and grandeur of the French château at its most vibrant. Each pattern has been carefully reimagined in five elegant colourways to suit both traditional and modern interiors. Every roll is crafted by hand using time-honoured printing methods, fine paper, and richly pigmented Farrow & Ball paint.
This refined design was uncovered in a private dressing room and takes its name from the Marquis’s eldest son, once destined to inherit the château. A contemporary of Napoléon Bonaparte, Auguste’s life was tragically cut short during the Revolution.
