Sudbury Yellow (51)

Sudbury Yellow is a soft, mid-toned yellow that – even for a Farrow & Ball colour – responds in a particularly extraordinary way to changing light. In light-filled rooms it is a clean, bright yellow shade, while darker rooms will give it more softness.

About this finish

Dead Flat 2% sheen · ultra matt

Farrow & Ball's flattest finish, now tough enough to scrub. A chalky, light-softening matt that works across walls, woodwork and metal, so a whole room can be painted in one finish.

Best for

Walls, ceilings, skirting, doors and radiators where you want a completely flat, colour-drenched look.

Such a beautiful, rich colour and the paint went on beautifully - only needed 1 coat (over light walls)

Sudbury Yellow (51)

We used Sudbury yellow on the walls in our hall, stairs and landing. It has an amazing response to light, looking bright yellow in full sunlight and 'custard cream' yellow in shaded areas. It is a joy to observe the colour changes throughout the day and between natural and artificial light.
