About this finish
Absolute Matt Emulsion 2% sheen · 14m² per litre · 2 coats
A deep, chalky flat finish with the richest colour in the range. Breathable, so it suits lime and natural plaster. Marks wipe gently but will not take scrubbing, so choose Intelligent Matt for busier rooms.
Cleaning
Wipe gently with a damp cloth. Not scrubbable.
Intelligent Matt Emulsion 2% sheen · 14m² per litre · 2 coats
The same flat 2% sheen as Absolute Matt, but fully washable. Self-priming, so it goes straight onto most surfaces without an undercoat. Certified child-safe under the Toy Paint Regulations.

Fully washable. Class 1 wet scrub.
Intelligent Eggshell 15% sheen · 13m² per litre · 2-3 coats
A low-sheen finish with outstanding water resistance, so it holds up in bathrooms and kitchens where emulsion would struggle. Suitable inside and out. Not for lime or natural plaster.

Intelligent Satin 35% sheen · 12m² per litre · 2 coats
The hardest-wearing of the water-based finishes. Made for surfaces handled daily, which is why it is the usual choice for kitchen cabinets and furniture.

Intelligent Gloss Over 87% sheen · 14m² per litre · 2-3 coats
A full gloss in water-based form, quick drying and low odour. Recommended for radiators and for kitchen and bathroom trim. Limited UV exposure can cause slight yellowing over time.

Intelligent Floor Paint 35% sheen · 12m² per litre · 2-3 coats
Dry in one to two hours, so a room is usable the same day. For concrete and wooden floors under light to medium traffic. An anti-slip aggregate is essential on stairs and floors that get wet.

Intelligent Exterior Eggshell 15% sheen · 12m² per litre · 2 coats
A flexible, microporous exterior wood finish that resists cracking, flaking and peeling, and is fully resistant to fungal and algae growth. Goes onto new timber without priming. Not for decking.

Intelligent Masonry Paint 5% sheen · 13m² per litre · 2-3 coats
A highly breathable exterior wall paint, rated Class V1, so trapped moisture escapes rather than being sealed in. For render, brick and blockwork. Not for lime renders or non-porous brick.

Intelligent ASP (All Surface Primer) 5-8% sheen · 13m² per litre · 1-2 coats
A universal primer and undercoat, working under both water and oil-based finishes. Needed for bare metal, plastics and surfaces of unknown origin, and recommended when making a significant colour change.

Traditional Oil Gloss Over 85% sheen · 16m² per litre · 2 coats
The classic oil gloss, with the flow and depth that oil gives, and the best coverage in the range. Slower to dry at 16 hours between coats, and may yellow over time, most visibly on whites.

Interior Oil Eggshell 10-20% sheen · 16m² per litre · 2 coats
A hard but flexible oil finish with extended workability, which is what gives it the high quality appearance decorators prefer on fine joinery. 16 hours between coats.

Tom's Oil Eggshell 10-20% sheen · 14-16m² per litre · 2 coats
A modified oil-based finish for exterior cladding, windows, doors and joinery, with a tough weather and UV resistant film. Lead free to BS 4310. Not for decking.
