About this finish

Dead Flat 2% sheen · ultra matt

Farrow & Ball's flattest finish, now tough enough to scrub. A chalky, light-softening matt that works across walls, woodwork and metal, so a whole room can be painted in one finish.

Best for

Walls, ceilings, skirting, doors and radiators where you want a completely flat, colour-drenched look.

Great colours great product.! Wouldn’t use any other

Borrowed Light (235)

A little too light for my kitchen project but a nice colour. Well worth buying the sample pots to help with making comparisons.

Borrowed Light (235)

This lovely, subtle shade of pale blue was just the shade I wanted .

Borrowed Light (235)

The colour is not exactly the same as the sample pot and I am very unhappy, as I have just used up a 750ml tin and when I used the sample pot to touch up some edging, it dried a different shade. Very annoying and will need overpainting . I have contacted Farrow and Ball and have copied in your admin team for their comments.

Store owner replied: Hi Martin, We’re really sorry to hear the colour wasn’t as expected. While it’s normal for different finishes to vary slightly, it shouldn’t feel like a completely different shade. We’ve reached out to you directly by email so we can look into this further and find a solution to ensure you’re 100% happy with your paint. Kind regards, Monika
